Most of the insurance companies have a deductible / excess for accidents that are considered the insured’s fault.
Class 2+ 3+ coverage policy would provide cover for Third Party and Partial coverage for your bike. It has a built in Personal Accident Insurance for death and dismemberment, offers coverage for Bail Bond, Medical Treatment, Death and Property for Third Party coverage and partial coverage for your bike.
Class 3 is the only insurance available for bikes over 5 years of age. The coverage for this kind of policy would provide cover for mostly Third Party. Motorcycle Insurance in Thailand is quite different, there is no full coverage offered to bikes that are below 250cc and full comprehensive insurance are only offered to Big Bikes. For normal bikes 150cc-250cc, insurance companies recommend and offer 2nd class or 3rd class insurance, this is basically coverage for the third party rather than coverage for your bike. 1st class insurance is usually only offered to Big Bikes with more than 250 cc and usually with a deductible for own fault accidents.
