What is car compulsory insurance or Por Ror Bor in Thailand ?

Coverage of car compulsory insurance or Por Ror Bor

If you are at fault in an accident :

Medical expenses/ Hospitalization - up to 30,000 THB per person

Death or dismemberment - up to 35,000 THB per person

**In total you are able to get compensated up to 65,000 THB per person.

If you are not at fault in an accident :

Medical expenses/ Hospitalization - up to 80,000 THB per person

Death or dismemberment - up to 200,000 - 500,000 THB per person

Cash compensation hospitalization - 200 THB per day up to 20 days.

**In total you are able to get compensated up to 504,000 THB per person.

Making a Claim

1. Getting a police report.

2. Getting treated at a hospital of your choice.

3. Submit original receipts/bills and claim documents with the insurance company that you are insured with.

However if you can have the insurance company that you are insured with process all of the claim processes for you. You will need to contact the insurance company that you are insured with and you can submit the original copies of the receipts/bills (treatments from hospital) to the insurance company and they will handle all of the claim processes.

You can also have the hospital submit all of the claim documents to the insurance company on your behalf, you will need to show them a copy of the compulsory insurance policy and they will process the required documents directly with the insurance company for you.
